One of our first loves of woodworking was creating cutting/serving boards. A cutting board is one of the most practical and used items in a kitchen but we believe that they don’t have to be ugly plastic that you hide in the nook of a cabinet. Why not create something beautiful that you’re not ashamed to leave out as a statement in your kitchen?
Our signature cutting board designs are about 1.5″ thick and sit on small rubber feet to stabilize your work surface as well as protect your countertop during use. Many have an easy-grab cut applied to the bottom to lessen the weight and allow for easier handling. They are coated in food-safe mineral oil and our own custom beeswax and mineral oil finish to provide a durable, but food-safe, surface.
People ask us all the time, “How do you paint them those beautiful colors?!” The best part is, there are NO DYES, STAINS, PAINT, etc. on our boards! The colors you see are the natural colors produced by incredible domestic and exotic woods!
Our boards have simple upkeep. Wipe clean with a diluted vinegar mix. You can a few drops of your desired essential oil if you want for a nice smell. We love citrus and lemongrass scents. Our custom blend Board Butter is a conditioner made especially for our cutting boards to help keep the wood conditioned and looking like new!
Our boards can be made in any size and many shapes! Squares work great for small items and small kitchens and longer boards are perfect for all-purpose use. No need to hide these pretty boards!
Our thinner boards can be used like cutting boards or serving trays. Rounded corners or alternative handles add a unique twist. Add rubber feet on the bottom for stability or opt for a board that has no feet and it can be reversible.
